Adelante Beyond
Program Description
The Adelante Beyond Program is designed to cultivate mentorship, enhance leadership opportunities for its members, and provide continuous opportunities for community and civic engagement. Programming is geared to support 3rd, 4th, and 5th year Latinx students with postsecondary completion and successful entry into the workforce by strengthening their skills and leveraging their cultural assets. Anyone is welcome to apply.
In addition to leadership opportunities, Adelante Beyond participants will receive a $500 scholarship and free food is provided at every workshop.
Key Components
1) Strengthen undergraduate students’ skills as well as equip them with resources, information, and support systems that will help them successfully obtain a bachelor's degree and prepare for the workforce.
2) Support undergraduate students’ career pursuits in health sciences, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to increase access to and entry into STEM-related careers.
3) Leverage undergraduate students’ cultural assets and funds of knowledge to successfully navigate postsecondary pathways using an evidence-based, culturally affirming curriculum.
4) Empower undergraduate students to be agents of change in shaping cultural, social, and political systems in the U.S.

Requirements
1) Complete your initial Program Waiver
2) One on one with an Adelante Staff Member
3) Attend 85% of workshops - there are 6 workshops total that are scheduled mostly bi-weekly, dispersed throughout the semester.
4) Meet one on one with a Career Center Advisor
5) Complete the Adelante pre-and post survey
